The challenge

Cru Wine had:

  • Around 1,000 organic visitors per month and weak visibility for “wine investment” in key markets.

  • Tracking issues from multiple duplicate tags, which made clean reporting hard.

  • A large WordPress site with 30,000+ products, which made a full platform move slow and expensive.

We had to grow international demand on a complex WordPress setup, not start again on a fresh ecommerce platform.

What we did

  • Fixed tracking issues so we could see clearly how users from the US, Dubai, and the UK behave on the site.

  • Cleaned up the existing WordPress structure so key pages could load fast and be properly crawled and indexed.

  • Identified high‑intent keywords around “wine investment” and related terms in target markets, focusing on investors rather than casual wine buyers.

  • Optimised core landing pages and supporting content to match how investors search in the US, Dubai, and the UK.

  • Built content that answers real investor questions, then used internal linking to push authority into key conversion pages.

Over our 24‑month relationship, Cru Wine saw:

  • Organic traffic grow from around 1,000 visitors per month to over 41,000 visitors per month, a 3,900% increase.

  • A tripling of the customer base within the first 8 months, driven mainly by “wine investment” and related intent keywords.
